Our mission:

  • To provide support, encouragement and networking opportunities to women pilots
  • To educate youth about aviation and thus promote interest in science, math and aviation careers
  • To provide access to scholarships to help women pilots further their flying passion or career
  • To promote general aviation in the community

What we’re doing:

Our most recent event: Pottstown-Heritage Field Fly-In/Drive-In (5/11/24)

  • Samantha, Amy, Eva, Rosanne, Susannah, Jackie, Nancy and Marion (IA99)

We had a beautiful day with tables set up with activities for the kids.  Activities included making hoop gliders, pilot epaulets, and bracelets. Take-aways included aviator coloring books, spinners and wings, as well as the photo-op with our Keystone 99s photo frame! We were also able to teach some “older” kids about the Ninety-Nine organization.

Congratulations Anna!

She is heading off to compete with her team at the 2024 F3J World Championships competition in Norway (7/27/24-8/3/24)! “They have been working in the field, training on all aspects of RC Soaring flight.  The sport encompasses many disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Radio Programming, Meteorology, Micro-Meteorology, Team Building, and Time Management.” The Keystone Chapter is a proud sponsor of our member, Anna. For more information and to help support Anna and her team Please follow the instructions here.

What’s Up Doc?

Oops, wrong Doc. This past weekend (5/12), Rosanne and her husband, Gary, took flight aboard historical B-29 Doc over Allentown, PA. They took to the Navigator and Radio Operator seats, but were able to get a cockpit view once in cruise. Doc and crew toured up the Delaware River for a bit before returning to KABE. Wow!

Women In Aviation Conference 2024

A few Keystone members flew down to Orlando to take part in the annual Women in Aviation conference March 22-24. They met many 99s, some new and reacquainted with others. They sat in on some interesting sessions and networked with many others that will help us with future Chapter projects and endeavors. And as a nice bonus, they ran into our International President, Robin Hadfield!!
